The book Al-Shafi is basically the translation of Al-Kafi which was originally written in Arabic by Allama Sheikh Muhammad bin Yaqoob kulayni and was translated to Urdu by Moulana Abdullah Itratti .Al-Kafi (the sufficient) is a twelver Shia Hidith collection.It is divided into three sections, "Usual al kafi" dealing with the epistemology, theology, history, ethics, supplication and Qur'an, "Furu al kafi" which is concerned with the practical and legal issues and "Rawdat al Kafi" which is includes miscellaneous traditions many of which are lengthy letters and speeches transmitted from the twelve Imams.In total "Al-Kafi" comprises 16,199 narrations, compiled during minor occultation of the twelfth Imam, thus compiled in the presence of the nominated representative of the twelfth Imam. It is highly esteemed as the most significant source of hadiths for the Shi'ite beliefs.
