The author of this book is Ali al-Kourani who is a Lebanese Shia scholar cleric. He was born in 1944 in Yater (Lebanon) Later migrated to Najaf, Iraq to study in a hawza in 1958.After Iranian revolution he moved to Iran.He established center of Fiqhi Lexicon and Mustafa Center for Religious Studies in Qom. This book is basically a pre-Islamic and post-Islsmic history of Yemen which is a place named frequently in the Islamic history. Yemen has an important status in Islam and it play a pivotal role in our rich history. It is home to many famous masjids of Islam, and the graves of many prominent Sahabah (ra). The people of Yemen were some of the first people to be taught Islam, by great Sahabah such as Abu Musa al-Ash‘ari (ra), Mu‘adh ibn Jabal (ra) and Ali ibn Abi Talib.
