Mohammad-Taqi Mesbah-Yazdi was an Iranian Shi'i cleric, philosopher and conservative political theorist who served as the spiritual leader of the Front of Islamic Revolution Stability. Mesbah Yazdi advocated Islamic philosophy and in particular Mulla Sadra's transcendent school of philosophy (Hikmat-e Muta`aliya). He believed that Iranians were moving away from religion and the values of Islamic revolution; and opposed western-style freedom and democratic governance, promoted by the Iranian reform movement.He has written this book "Amozish Aqaid" about the basic and fundamental principles of Islam. Initially he focuses on recognizing our Creator and his sovereignty,further on he discusses about the qualities of Allah, the need of a religion, importance of the religion, and the basis of the religion.
