This book was originally written by William James Durant who was an American writer , historian and philosopher. It was translated to Urdu by Yasir Jawad. "The story of Civilization" by William James Durant had six volumes, the volumes describing the "Southern heritage" was named as Arab which described the Eastern civilization in detail and this book is translated from the Southern heritage volume of this series. Through out writing this book Durant strived to create what they call integral history. The book "Story of Civilization" is the most successful histographical series in the history. Yasir Jawad has translated it with great efforts while taking help from lots of renowned dictionaries and pronunciation Gazzetiers.
