
Asma binte Umays
Asmāʾ bint ʿUmays was a female companion of Muhammad. She is known for having married three famous companions of Muhammad, namely, Ja'far ibn Abi Talib, Abu Bakr, and Ali ibn Abi Talib. Her father was Umays ibn Ma'ad from the Khath'am tribe, and her mother was Hind bint Awf from the Himyar tribe. One of the most important and salient points in her life was her relation with Imam Ali's (as) family. She was one of the few people who were allowed to be present in the nocturnal funeral of Lady Fatima (as).It is even said that she was present in the wedding ceremony of Imam Ali (as) and Lady Fatima.
