The author of this book is Professor Muhammad Baqir. This book is printed and published by Majlis-e-yadgaar-e-Ghalib.Majlis-e-yadgaar-e-Ghalib was a committee which was made in Punjab University in 1960's and it first President was Professor Hameed Ahmad Khan. The core purpose of this committee was to keep the memories of Ghalib alive in the hearts of poetry lovers and due to this they decided to print books on Ghalib and his work. Their efforts resulted in a lot of popular books on Ghalib's work and his life sketch. This book is also one of the books printed by majis-e-yadgaar-e-Ghalib which contains Ghalibs work. It is basically a biography of Mirza Asad ullah khan Ghalib written by himself during the time when Delhi was under riots ,he isolated himself and to save himself from the pain of isolation on 11 May 1857 Mirza Ghalib started writing his own biography.
