This book is a translation of "The portrait of a lady" written by Henry James (United States) in 1981 and was translated to Urdu language by Quratul ain Hyder.Qurratulain Hyder was an Indian Urdu novelist and short story writer, an academic, and a journalist. One of the most outstanding and influential literary names in Urdu literature.She has also done a significant amount of translation of classics. Her own works have been translated into English and other languages.The Portrait of a Lady is the story of a spirited young American woman, Isabel Archer, who, "affronting her destiny," finds it overwhelming.
