Kitab-al-irshad
Kitab-al-irshad,the book of guidance, is an insight into the lives of the Twelve Imams ,is the earliest surviving history of the Shi'ite Imams, peace be upon them. It briefly describes the circumstances of the Imamate, giving an outline of the nass (nomination) of each Imam,the miracle that each performed as an evidence of his Imamate,the virtue of each one, the circumstances of his death and of the disappearance of the last Imam. The first half of the book is dedicated the first Imam Ali ibne Abi Talib, peace be upon him.It concentrates specifically on his actions and bravery during the lifetime of the Holy Prophet peace be upon him and his family, and the second half deals with the rest of the Imams.
