Lahu rang sehra
Lahu Rang Sehra by Sahir Lakhnavi is an Urdu poetry collection that remembers the tragedy of Karbala with deep pain and devotion. The book’s title, meaning “the desert colored with blood,” points directly to the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (ع) and his companions in the battlefield of Karbala. Through powerful marsiyas and elegiac poetry, Sahir paints scenes of courage, thirst, loyalty, and martyrdom. His verses keep alive the memory of the martyrs, turning their suffering into lessons of faith, patience, and resistance against injustice. The book is both a tribute and a reminder of Karbala’s eternal message.
