Moulvi Muhammad shafi was a learned man ,his studies and research has many aspects. Along with Arabic history he was known to be an expert of Urdu literature and history too.He was a researcher who loved to collect rare manuscripts and an authority on oriental languages and textual criticism, Moulvi Muhammad Shafi had a keen eye for calligraphy, lexicography, bibliography, grammar, history and archeology, not to mention the languages he knew. He was very fond of book reading, calligraphy and Islamic studies.He has written dissertations on various topics which opened new doors to history and civilization. These dissertations were published in five volumes, compiled by his son Ahmad Rabbani.This is the first volume of the book.
