Nahzat-e Rohaniyun-e Iran” by Ali Davani is a monumental Persian multi-volume historical chronicle tracing Shi‘a clergy involvement in Iran’s political movements—from the Sarbardaran uprising and Constitutional era to the Islamic Revolution. Initially published as the one-volume “Nahzat-e Dow-Māhe-ye Rohaniyun-e Iran” (1962), it documented the clergy’s backlash against the Pahlavi regime’s council law.
