Rubaiyaat-e-Dabeer
Rubaiyaat-e-Dabeer by Dr. Syed Taqi Abidi is a scholarly study and compilation of the rubaiyat (quatrains) of Mirza Dabeer, highlighting his mastery over concise poetic expression. The book examines Dabeer’s use of language, imagery, rhythm, and thematic depth within the compact four-line form. Dr. Abidi analyzes how Dabeer conveys profound emotions, moral reflection, devotion, and social commentary in his rubaiyat, maintaining both literary elegance and spiritual resonance. By contextualizing the quatrains within Dabeer’s broader poetic oeuvre, the work demonstrates the poet’s skill in balancing aesthetic beauty with intellectual and emotional impact, making it an important resource for students of Urdu poetry and marsiya literature.
