Imam Hussain (AS) has very much trust in his uncle’s son, Hazrat Muslim bin Aqeel. When Yazid becomes the ruler, he starts taking the oath of allegiance from all people. Imam Hussain refuses and leaves Madinah for Makkah. He sends Hazrat Muslim to Kofa to assess the situation as thousands of people from the city have written letters, asking the Imam to come and lead them. Knowing about the changing situation in Kofa and the presence of Imam Hussain’s envoy, Hazrat Muslim, Yazid makes Ibn-e-Ziyad the governor of Kofa. He orders Ziyad to find and arrest Hazrat Muslim. On the other hand, thousands of people take oath on Hazrat Muslim’s hands. However, Ziyad’s threats change the entire situation.
