This book is the volume 1 of Wisdom of Persia (Danesh-i-Iran). The author has compiled, in this book, the important philosophical, theological and mystical texts, many of which have been neglected and have remained unknown both by Iranian and Western scholars. This volume consists of metaphysics of Sharah -i-manzumah of Haji Mulla Hadi Sabzwari (1797-1878) who is considered the most important of all philosophers of Qajar period in Iran.This book is a commentary on the philosophical poems which are centuries old tradition of Islamic philosophy in Iran. The work of Sabzwari is a grand synthesis of almost all the dominant philosophical idea that have been put forward by the representative thinkers of Islam in its long intellectual history.
