Imam Hussain (AS) has only a few companions who join him before the battle of Karbala. Despite being told by Imam that they will be martyred, they remain firm in their determination and don’t leave Imam alone. In his speech on the night of 9th Muharram, Imam tells these people that they can go and leave him because Yazidi forces are only after him, but they do not show any hesitation and are ready to embrace martyrdom.
