THE LIFE AND THE TIMES OF RAJA SAHEB OF MAHMUDABAD – PART I
Raja Saheb of Mahmudabad plays a cardinal role in the struggle for freedom of Muslim India. Being very close to Quaid-e-Azam, he has a vision of a homeland in which getting the British out is merely a prelude. He wants to see an industrialised economy with an egalitarian base. He aims to regain for his countrymen their rights, give them courage, and eradicate poverty to mitigate their sufferings. When Muslim League is bereft of funds, Raja Saheb foots the bills from his own resources. Though he is rightly acclaimed as one of the architects of Pakistan, he doesn’t accept any office in the country and repeatedly declines such offers. This book is an introductory study of the life and achievements of Raja Saheb.
