Wuqaya O hawadis volume 4
The book "Wuqaya O hawadis" is written by Muhammed Baqir Malbuhi in Persian language. The word wuqaya O hawadis means the events and incidents. Muharram is the first month of Islamic year and it is the month in which the tragic incident of Karbala took place. Ashura (the tenth day of Muharram) is a day of mourning for Shia Muslims, who annually commemorate the death of Husayn ibn Ali, grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad PBUH and the third Shia imam. Imam Husayn as was killed, alongside most of his relatives and his small retinue, in the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE against the army of the Umayyad caliph Yazid ibn Mu'awiya . The family of Imam Husayn was taken as hostage and exposed to extreme of torture while they preached the message of Islam. The author has also elaborated other incidents relating to the islamic history that took place in the month of Muharram.
