ZIKR-E-ABBAS (AS)
As Imam Ali (AS) knows that the incident of Karbala will happen, he wants a very brave son that could help Imam Hussain (AS) in the battle. Imam Ali asks his brother Aqeel to find a woman from a brave family with which he could solemnise Nikah. Hazrat Abbas (AS) is born to Bibi Ummul Baneen. Imam Hussain loves Hazrat Abbas very much. He makes Hazrat Abbas the commander of his army as Abbas is very brave. Hazrat Abbas always accompanies Imam Hussain to protect him. Despite reaching the river in the battle in Karbala, he doesn’t drink water as Imam Hussain’s children are thirsty. Abbas sacrifices his life on Imam Hussain in the battle.
